Frost update

Well- the frost has MAINLY passed- but we aren’t out if the woods yet. There is more frost to come sadly.

I have made the decision to remove the covers from the plants now. They were covered for 24 hours and sadly some of the leaves have gone brown.

The above picture of purple senetti shows a few of the leaves have gone brown- but I’m undecided as to whether it was due to the frost or covering them up.

I am hoping that the plants recover. However I have learnt my lesson to never plant so early in the year.

I have also decided to fork the rest of the soil in order to break up the tough soil that was 4-6 inches beneath the surface. This will need doing regularly I think.
