Aerating the lawn is very time consuming and difficult.
The front lawn soil wasn’t too compacted although it still took over an hour to aerate it. This is a very necessary job as it allows moisture and nutrients to get to the grassroots as well as helping with soil compaction.
Sadly, the back lawn was very compacted and it took the best part of an hour to aerate one quarter of it. At least I fed the aerated area too. I’m hoping these pains taking jobs will reap their rewards in the summer.
